Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed Akasa Air has opened bookings for flights between Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kochi from July 22.
With the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) giving its green light to Boeing’s 737 Max planes in August 2021, Akasa Air signed a deal with Boeing in November 2021 to purchase 72 Max aircraft.
Akasa Air will launch commercial operations with two 737 Max aircraft. Boeing has delivered one Max plane and the second one’s delivery is scheduled to take place later this month.

Flyers can expect comfortable seating, spacious leg room and USB connectivity for their gadgets.
Akasa Air will also be provinding meals through their on-board dining service ‘Café Akasa’ with menus inspired by Indian cuisines and celebrations as well as international cuisine.

Akasa Air Fares
The airline will operate a daily flight between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, that will take off from Mumbai at 1405 IST. The return flight will be operated at 1605 IST from Ahmedabad.
The tickets for the flight from Mumbai start at INR 3,948, while the one from Ahmedabad starts at INR 5,008.
Similarly, the airline will operate two daily flights from Bengaluru to Kochi at 0715 IST and 1100 IST, tickets for which start at INR 3,483.
The return flights from Kochi will be operated at 0905 IST and 1310 IST, whose ticket prices start at INR 3,282.
