TIE Asks – Should For-Profit Education Institutions be allowed?

Introduction to the topic : In India, educational institutions are not allowed to run for profit. This essentially means that anyone setting up an educational institute in India is either doing it for a charitable purpose or planning to profit from it in a manner that the law deems illegal.

Note: The question does not state that public institutions and public universities be shut down. It is merely seeking to question whether or not private institutions must be allowed to run on a FOR-PROFIT basis.
