In the unfortunate incident that occurred on Tuesday, the minor was identified as Pradeep, who had accompanied his father to his workplace, where the incident took place.

The boy’s father, Gangadhar, works as a security guard. He took Pradeep with him to work on Sunday.

The boy was strolling outside, when the pack of stray dogs came upon him and proceeded to attack him, sources said, adding that the CCTV footage of the incident (not shared here due to graphic nature) has surfaced as well.

Amberpet Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi ordered an inquiry into the incident, as she held a meeting with the veterinary officials at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) headquarters.
