Kangana Ranaut To Get Security Cover

A senior Union Ministry official has said that central security cover will be accorded to actor Kangana Ranaut by the Home Ministry.

The actor has been engaged in Twitter spats with the ruling Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra, after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Ms. Ranaut is currently based at her family home in Manali, Himachal Pradesh and is slated to return to Mumbai on September 9.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), deployed in internal security duties, will provide cover to Ms. Ranaut across the country. She will be granted Y category security, given to top industrialists in the country, which entails the individual to be protected round-the-clock by 11-12 personnel.

The developments come on the back of an ugly war of words on social between the actor and the Maharashtra Government, with the actress most recently alleging that city municipal authorities have “forcefully taken over” her office premises in Mumbai.
