With a view to strengthening the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, tolerance of the views of others and to enable the student community to know everything about the working of Parliament. Jaypee Youth Parliament (JYP) is an academic simulation of Indian Parliament in form and content and an initiation to familiarize students with Civics, Policy Matter and Decision Making in a Government Organizational Setup. It aims to develop the art of Peaceful Negotiation among potential National Leaders.
The mission:
- To make students understand the parliamentary procedure and develop an insight into the working of parliament.
- To make students aware of various problems facing our society and the country, consider public issues and form their opinion on them.
- To make students understand the common man’s point of view and express it in an articulated manner working not only your levels of intellect, but your debating, diplomatic and collaboration skills as well. It ultimately aims to develop the art of peaceful negotiation among potential national and international leadersTo make students understand the parliamentary procedure and develop an insight into the working of parliament .
Event Details:
The Youth Parliament will be held from 11th-12th October 2014,from 0900 hours to 1700 hours each day. The Youth Parliament will see different committees which will simulate simultaneously and they will be:
1.LOK SABHA
2.RAJYA SABHA
3.DELHI VIDHAN SABHA
