Gujarat Exit Polls Result 2022: Is the BJP set for a record win?

The second phase of the polling in Gujarat was held on Monday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his mother Heeraben Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with his family, were seen casting their votes in their home state. T

The BJP has been in power in the state for nearly 27 years and the party is confident that it will win easily.

Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have been campaigning extensively in the state with a motive to expand their national footprint, after its win in Punjab, in the run-up to the 2024 national elections.

Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra is running in different parts of the country, but it has been fairly muted on the campaign trail in Gujarat.

What do the exit polls say though?

As per the Times Now Navbharat ETG exit polls, the BJP will sweep the home state once again with an unbeatable majority while AAP will finish third, behind the Congress.

The BJP, according to pundit predictions, may end up with close to 145 seats. Congress is expected to get 24-34 seats and the AAP will end up with 6-16 seats, to give the ruling party a clear majority.
