The ruling NDA, may cross the magic number of 122 easily according to trends, as counting is underway.
However, it’s too early to rule out the Mahagathbandhan led by Tejashwi Yadav, as reports suggest that in at least 76 seats the margin is too less, around 1000, to be called.
The Election Commission has advised patience in calling out results, as the counting may go on till late evening.
A majority of the exit polls had projected the Mahagathbandhan upsetting the incumbent NDA. However, if the initial trends are to be relied upon, the pollsters may stand corrected.
A clearer picture is awaited.
