As Prime Minister Narendra Modi pioneers the Digital India initiative, it is crucial for the digital space to be available in regional languages. We are excited to be opening up the digital campaigning space in Hindi to crores of Indian citizens.”

With thirty lakh users and more than 350 impactful campaigns in India, Change.org has proven that digital people power is having a real impact in India – and being available in Hindi makes the potential for even greater impact.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Member of Parliament, who has started two campaigns on Change.org, said: “I launched a petition on the Voting Rights of Armed Forces Personnel. With over 60,000 people signing it, we won, helping our soldiers exercise their constitutional right to vote. Success of several petitions started on Change.org have reinforced that the website is an excellent way to mobilise citizens and to wake the establishment and decision makers to them. Making Change.org available in Hindi allows a large number of Indians to also participate in their quest for change and transformation.”
