What The Metaverse Needs To Excel As A Business

It’s been a year since Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement of the Metaverse and although he exuded optimism on his Joe Rogan podcast appearance, there are still plenty of sceptics of the digital venture. And with Metaverse developers reportedly showing signs of uncertainty over the projects, those worries might be well-founded.

Despite that, there are still numerous projects planned to drop over the years, all focused on building up the digital sanctuary of the Metaverse. Step by step, we’ll see if these projects add that extra layer of quality and care needed to make this lofty vision complete.

Outside of specific apps and hardware releases, there are a few points of interest we hope the technology takes care of as it makes its run at changing the world. With these, the Metaverse can go from being a novel concept to a booming business.

Building Community

Just like Facebook and other online ventures afterwards, there needs to be a strong sense of community built into the business. If you look at workout, diet tracking, or music streaming apps, there’s almost always a way to stay connected to other users – especially if you know them. The Metaverse needs to take all of the users it has and give them ways to keep in touch with and track each other across apps.

For example, if the Metaverse ventures into the online casino space, there needs to be a way to interact with other players. If the Metaverse were to try the best online casino Canada has to offer with their Hot Drop Jackpots, Treasures of Aztec, and sports betting, they could incorporate their tech with a highly successful business in refreshing ways. Live dealer games could bring both the dealer and players to the same digital table. From there, players could exchange information and see where each other is on future visits and make plans to meet up at other games. This would be game-changing for international players that might not normally meet.

Social Media Metaverse

This is fairly connected to the last point, but the Metaverse needs to learn from its social media roots and implement a successful way for users to share thoughts while in the Metaverse. There’s a good reason most apps and businesses try to merge their ideas with a social media angle of some sort – and that’s exposure. If a user’s friend sees them posting about something they did in the Metaverse, chances are curiosity will eventually win out and adoption of the product will increase. Zuckerberg just needs to make sure that implementation is intuitive.

Incorporate Online Shopping

You know that when Goodwill starts an online presence, just about every retailer is online now. And how could a business not be? It expands their audience exponentially allowing more eyes on all of their products. If the Metaverse has a way to allow users to shop online in digital stores, there’s no telling how that could impact sales of both the product and online sales in general.

After all, it seems like Zuckerberg is expecting the Metaverse to be a second life for users, so giving them a way to shop for their first one seems like a necessary addition. If these few points can be taken care of, we have no doubts about the future of the Metaverse. Check back for more updates regarding the technology and its journey to change the world.
