The Effects of State Marijuana Legalizations on Youth: 2021 Update

In the years after marijuana was legalized, youth use of marijuana jumps substantially. In many states across the world, previous the legalization, they usage of marijuana was about 16%; but a couple of years after marijuana has been legalized, youth had the highest percentage of usage. But again, there are some pros: regulating marijuana significantly decreases youth’s contribution in illegal marijuana sales.

As long as marijuana is illegal, teens will be prone to get involved in illegal selling, and end up damaged, failing to get an education degree, or a decent job. Also, youth exposed to selling marijuana are involved in all kinds of violent situations. So, as a matter of fact, legalizing marijuana has been beneficial for the humanity. Responsible adults will only sell marijuana to other adults, safely, and effectively.

Regulating Marijuana – What’s the biggest benefit?

Some people used to illegally grow and sell marijuana. But when marijuana finally been legalized, the market was regulated, and families weren’t torn apart anymore. It’s safer now to use marijuana than it was ever before. First, because you can purchase pure medical marijuana from a reliable source, and second because it can be used in your favor:

  • It’s safer than other prescribed medications to treat pain.
  • You can use it in several ways: buy dab pen from legal online head shop.
  • The purpose is not to get high, but to treat several health issues.
  • It’s natural: people have been using marijuana since forever as a natural medicinal ingredient with promising and persistent results.

Marijuana and Teens

Nowadays, teens are likely to consume marijuana than tobacco. Most states allow young adults over 21 years old to consume recreational marijuana, but it’s not legal anywhere in the United States of America. Marijuana is not what it used to be a couple of decades ago. Now, marijuana plants are grown differently, and they can contain 3 times more tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active ingredient that makes people high. The ingredient that has the most benefits for humans is CBD, but it remains at about 1%.

Ways people can use marijuana, including:

  • Vaping dab pen (liquid or wax marijuana in an electronic cigarette)
  • Smoking buds and flowers (dried plant) in joint, bong, or pipe
  • Consuming edibles, like baked muffins, or candies
  • Drinking beverages
  • Intaking oils and tinctures (also applied on the skin)

Parents can help their young teens learn more about the effects of marijuana use. Speaking with your teens about marijuana at an early age is very beneficial, as they’ll make better choices and prevent developing addiction later. Talk to your children in an honest way, be open to what they have to say. They’re likely to try marijuana, and if they’re trained before, they won’t experience problems with feelings, health, learning, and so on.

It’s important that states struggle to best regulate this plant on the market, and serve many approaches to parents, so they could use them to help prevent their children to use marijuana

It’s important to reduce youth exposure to marijuana, which can obviously reduce marijuana use among young adults. For more information about marijuana and teenagers, you can check out online marijuana facts for teens, or information for parents about marijuana.
