PM Modi in Telangana: Telangana CM KCR and Congress ‘equal sinners’

As India readies for the upcoming Telangana Legislative Assembly election, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, currently holding a roadshow in Hyderabad, launched a verbal attack on opposition parties.

Telangana is set to witness a triangular contest between the ruling BRS, Congress and BJP as the state goes to the polls on November 30.

Modi called the Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and Congress ‘equal sinners.’

Modi said that both BRS and Congress indulge in the appeasement on the basis of religion and casud an increase in corruption.

Modi also claimed that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief was trying to strike up a friendship with the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)

Speaking at a rally in Mahabubabad, Modi said that KCR’s party was trying to strike up a friendship, saying ‘KCR realised the increasing power of BJP much earlier. For a long time, he was making an effort to strike a friendship with the BJP.’

He further claimed that ‘once, when he came to Delhi, KCR met me and made the same request. But BJP can never work against the wishes of the people of Telangana.’

‘Ever since BJP turned down KCR, BRS has been baffled. The party doesn’t lose any opportunity to abuse me. BRS knows that Modi will never let it anywhere near BJP. This is Modi’s guarantee,’ he added, according to an ANI report.

‘Both Congress and KCR are equal sinners in destroying Telangana. So, the people of Telangana can’t let in another disease after ousting one – I have seen this everywhere in the state. The trust of Telangana is in the BJP. You have determined that the next CM of Telangana will be from BJP. The BJP has promised you that the first BJP CM in Telangana will be from the BC community (Backward Class),’Modi said in an impassioned rhetoric.

Vowing that the BJP government will look into all the scams of KCR, he said that the part considers it its responsibility to bring Telangana out of the clutches of BRS.

KCR, his son KTR will lose their seats in Telangana Assembly polls: Union Minister Kishan Reddy

Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana Chief G Kishan Reddy on Monday said that Chief Minister KCR and his son KT Rama Rao (KTR) are going to lose their respective constituencies in the November 30 state assembly elections.

The BJP chief in the poll-bound state said that KCR is going to lose both his seats, Gajwel and Kamareddy, to the BJP.

‘I would like to tell KTR that he himself is going to lose (election). His father, the Telangana CM, is going to lose against the BJP in both seats. In Gajwel, BJP candidate Etala Rajender is going to win with a huge majority, and in Kamareddy, our candidate is going to defeat both KPCC chief Revanth Reddy and him,” he said while responding to KTR’s continuous sharp barbs targeted at the BJP.

‘KTR should first think of his father; he can think about the BJP later. Your family and you are going to leave politics and go to the farmhouse after December 3. You have no future of remaining in power,’ the Union Minister added.

In the previous Telangana Assembly elections in 2018, the BRS, previously known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 of the 119 seats, grabbing 47.4 per cent of the total vote share.

The Congress came in a distant second with just 19 seats.
