Mitigating the effects of climate change

Sukhjeet Singh

In recent years, many have questioned whether more should be done to mitigate the effects of climate change. This is needed because it will provide stability and less pressure on future generations, and it will also improve relationships between countries.

Some of the pressure on emerging generations can be alleviated if more action is taken to prevent the more severe impacts of climate change. It has been proven time and again that climate change will worsen over time, and many officials and researchers say solutions need to be implemented soon.

However, if we do not take steps such as reducing the amount of fossil fuels, adopting electric vehicles, solar or hydropower, it will only place enormous pressure on future generations to take concrete and urgent action.

Mitigating the effects of climate change by taking immediate action will provide future generations with a peaceful and stable way of life.

Furthermore, if more is done to stem some of the dangers of climate change, it will be of great benefit to our relations with other nations. Many of these countries have been negotiating certain solutions to the effects of climate change, building connexions and strong, supportive relationships.

If a country were to do the same, we would maintain better and deeper relationships with other nations, which can further support us in certain endeavours, trade, or in difficult circumstances. For this to happen, more action should be taken on climate change.

Some opponents may argue that fighting climate change is something that individuals must do alone, and that unless people support the government’s plan, the government can’t do anything about it.

However, this is completely misleading. In past instances, we have seen the government create awareness, and then gradually puts a plan in place. An example of this is drink driving. Individuals drive cars, but the government has certain restrictions and restrictions to control possible dangers.

The same logic applies to climate change. Only when people realise the dangers of climate change and governments do more will we be able to mitigate the alarming effects of climate change.

In conclusion, more action on climate change is essential for everyone to maintain a healthy and stable lifestyle. Not only will it lighten the burden on the shoulders of the contemporary emerging generation, but it will also strengthen and maintain relations with countries around the world.
