By Manish Goyal

The International Management Institute, New Delhi strives to develop a holistic learning and work environment for the managers of tomorrow. This institute houses individuals not only from the country but from all across the globe. The students of this college host and drive various management and cultural events around the year including but not limited to TEDx, Conventus, eMerge and MUN. Now, they are gearing up for their annual fest, KRITVA—an epitome of unity in diversity.

A managerial and cultural extravaganza

Kritva, the word, is of Sanskrit origin and it means “to do“. The Annual Management and Cultural festival of IMI, New Delhi has been celebrated for years now. With the scale increasing with each passing year, KRITVA is an amalgamation of managerial prowess and cultural extravaganza. This is a three-day fest conducted and organised by different academic and cultural student bodies of IMI, with colleges coming in from different demographics. Varied flavours from all domains of MBA give birth to intricately designed case studies, games and cultural events, which attract similarly varied participation, from undergraduate students to corporates. This fest hosts a total of 23 declared events and many surprises.

In this perpetual process of learning, a theme emerges which signifies the spirit of a true managerial congregation. From International Swadesi to Breaking the Stereotype, these ideas are of extreme relevance to the world and their annual change stands for the volatility that rocks the managerial boat.

The Prism of Perception

The theme for KRITVA this year is “The Prism of Perception“. Quoting Aldous Huxley, “There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.” No two people see the external world in exactly the same way. Our daily affairs are a grey-scale; there is no perfect white or black. There may be two rights to an affair, or even more. The Prism of Perception breaks the monotony and reflects the heterogeneity of epiphanies. Our perceptions define who we are, what we believe in and how we act.

Kritva has had eminent personalities like Mr P. Balaji (Director External Affairs, Vodafone India), Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Shri Buta Singh, Dr Kiran Bedi and Dr P. Subbarao as chief guests and has been associated with brands like GAIL, Panasonic, Indian Bank, Petronet LNG Limited, IOCL, BPCL, Zomato, and many more. The nights of the fest have been graced by performances by Euphoria, Parikrama, Indeep Bakshi and Akhil.

The fest itself is not just limited to the three days but commences many months prior to the due date. An extravagant launch, a thrilling flash mob and many more online and offline activities are held in order to create a buzz in the city. Together they make for a richly marvellous experience which is in line with the spirit of IMI, New Delhi.
