India beat Australia in first ODI at Mumbai, KL Rahul stars

India defeated Australia by 5 wickets, chasing a total of 189, as KL Rahul starred with a sturdy 75* in 91 balls with 7 fours and a six.

Rahul perfectly paced the chase as India were in trouble at one stage, losing three wickets up top as Mitchell Starc proved to be a handful with his inswingers.

Kohli, Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav were all in the pavilion at the start of the chase, as India were in toruble at 16/3.

Rahul proved to be the anchor, stitching parterships with Gill, Pandya and then a century-stand with Jadeja to take the team home and the hosts now lead 1-0 in the 3-match series.
