Pop singer Rihanna Tuesday tweeted about the ongoing farmers protest at Delhis borders, thereby bringing global ‘celebrity’ attention to the issue online.
Why arent we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest, tweeted the popstar with who has over 100 million followers on Twitter.
Soon after, many well known names globally lent their voices to the farmer protests online, including the likes of climate change activist Greta Thunberg, American lawyer and Vice President Kamala Harris niece Meena Harris, and the Human Rights Watch.
Closer home, there were voices on the other side of the debate, with actor Kangana Ranaut responding to the initial tweet by Rihanna.
