Domestic LPG cylinder prices hiked again, LPG to now cost INR 1,053 per cylinder

According to a PTI report, this was the third hike in LPG rates since May, when the price was increased by INR 3.50 and the fourth one overall in the last year.

In all, domestic LPG prices have gone up by INR 244 per cylinder since June 2021.

Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been cut by INR 8.5 per litre from Wednesday. A commercial LPG cylinder will cost INR 2,012.50 in Delhi, INR 1,972.50 in Mumbai, INR 2,132 in Kolkata and INR 2,177.50 in Chennai.

LPG cylinder rates are revised every month for all states and Union Territories.

Global fuel prices in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict breaking out, as well as spiraling inflation has had an impact on LPG prices. The weakening of the rupee has further piled on the hurt.
