According to flight and hotel booking data from Priceline, Las Vegas has been one of 2021?s most prominent domestic travel destinations. The number of visitors has been increasing for months, along with the strips gambling revenue.
Now international travel has opened back up again; it is hoped that the influx of business will see things get back on track. It comes at a critical time for the hospitality-reliant city. A quarter of the states jobs are in the tourism industry, which meant Nevada faced the highest unemployment in the country during the peak of the pandemic.
With vaccines in place, the floodgates are starting to open up in terms of visitors flocking to Vegas once again. There is a lot of pent-up demand, as people may have booked the trip of a lifetime before the pandemic changed the world, and everything had to be delayed or cancelled.
Vegas Remains Popular
Although Vegas suffered during the pandemic, it was not alone in that regard. Sin City undoubtedly remains as popular with tourists as ever. The substantial booking numbers for hotels over the next few years indicate people still intend to visit.
The growth in new developments in Vegas continues. The Virgin Hotels Las Vegas opened its doors in March, replacing the legendary Hard Rock hotel. This luxurious resort is a $4.3 billion building complex offering out-of-the-world Las Vegas experiences to guests. Additionally, new attractions, such as FlyOver, the quintessential journey on the strip, are attracting vast amounts of customers.
