Bitcoin uses Blockchain technology, which functions as a type of distributed ledger or decentralized database that keeps continuously updated digital records of ownership and storage. Bitcoins are especially looked at with interest because the technology behind it makes the need for intermediaries obsolete. It is, therefore, not controlled by any Government, bank or private company, thereby excluding the need for payment of transaction fees as well.
