According to officials , a police team spotted Tiger Shroff out in the Bandra Bandstand area of Mumbai, along with fellow actor Disha Patani, in the evening, post the 2 pm deadline in place as per the COVID norms in the city.
When pulled over and questioned by the police, the actor “couldn’t give a satisfactory reply” to why he was roaming outside, due to which the police registered a case under section 188 (Disobeying the order of public servant), according to police sources, adding it was a bailable offence not requiring arrest.
The Mumbai Police, which has a large fan following on Twitter, due to its tongue-in-cheek responses to the happenings in the city, tweeted “In the ongoing War against the virus, going Malang on the streets of Bandra cost dearly to two actors who have been booked under sections 188, 34 IPC by Bandra PSTN. We request all Mumbaikars to avoid unnecessary Heropanti which can compromise on safety against #COVID19.” The tweet alluded to the popular actors’ movies.
