The Pakistani Rangers violated ceasefire, firing on Border Security Force (BSF) troops without provocation along the International Border in the Arnia sector of Jammu district, an official said.
The BSF is said to have given a ‘befitting reply’ according to the armed forces.
India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire along the borders in Jammu and Kashmir in February 2021, without much incident barring a few violations.
No casualties were reported on the Indian side.
