Mumbai Indians Retain SKY
Suryakumar Yadav has been retained by Mumbai Indians. Contrary to the reports which suggested SKY alongside Hardik Pandya will be heading into the mega auction, the five-time champions retained him alongside Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Kieron Pollard.
This means Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan will be released, although both may be picked up by the Mumbai Indians in the 2022 mega auction.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Retain Mohammed Siraj, along with Kohli and Maxwell
Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained Virat Kohli who has represented them since the league’s inception in 2008. Kohli along with Australia’s Glenn Maxwell were the only two players to be retained according to media reports an hour ago. It is also the end for the Sunrisers Hyderabad stars David Warner and Jonny Bairstow’s partnerships with SRH.

It is also being reported that SRH’s biggest draw Rashid Khan has expressed interest to join a different franchise and he may not be retained by them.

IPL Teams Purse Increased
The eight existing Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises will submit their player-retention list on Tuesday for the 2022 edition of the tournament. for the mega auction the purse of each franchise have been increased to 90 crore.
The franchises are allowed to retain a maximum of four players, while the two new franchises, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, can acquire three from the rest of the player pool before the January auction.
Many major India stars are expected to under the hammer at auction time.
