Actress Shweta Tiwari got into a spot of bother with the authorities in Bhopal, as she made a seemingly innocuouos reference to her innerwear at a promotional event.
The actress was in Bhopal for promotions of her upcoming web show.
The web show also stars Sourabh Raaj Jain, of Mahabharat fame, in the role of a ‘bra-fitter.’
During the media event, Jain was asked about the difference betweeen playing the role of a relgious figure Mahabharat to his current ‘interesting’ character.
To this, Shweta Tiwari interrupted and allegedly said ‘mere bra ka size bhagwan le rahe hai.’ seemingly to make light of the question.
The remark was meant to be in a funny manner but it did not seem to go down well with the netizens, as many calling the statement ‘reckless’ and ‘derogatory’.
The Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Narottam Mishra ordered the police chief of Bhopal to submit a detailed report on the matter, after the backlash.
Mishra was in the news recently, having staged a political protest against Sunny Leone over the title of her song ‘Madhuban Mein Radhika Nache’ which was later changed to ‘Panghat’.
