We have all seen the huge developments that AI has managed to amass over the years to pass. From a once imaginative concept kept within sci-fi movies, to today’s heavy reliance across all sectors of business. Of course, being that technology has proved itself all powerful and in some ways more efficient than man, this has put the pressure on traditional standards of the working world. Even the gambling market of the sports betting world has seen the heavy reliance on this technology, especially when it comes to customer service procedures and the foundations put in place to monitor the large surges of new customers amongst those existing within gambling communities. Expert systems such as these are massively relied upon more than ever, and this seriously brings its concerns nevertheless.
While many have yet to understand the true extent of AI’s contribution within the betting world, many customers in fact rely on them during the regulation of free bets for existing customers. It is not just on sports betting but generally for the entire gambling market. It is much more cost effective than having an online work force-and that is where the threat is.
Is Artificial Intelligence really a threat?
As AI continues to grow more sophisticated and evermore present within society, many have voiced their concerns on how this technology presents itself as a pitfall for the future. Not only does it challenge the standards of the economy and jobs currently, general intelligence that is provided by AI has a category of perfection that can never be achieved by humans. As the technology progresses, the requirement for humans will be less needed. Esteemed publishing platforms such as the New Scientist, believe that this huge change would be ethically unbalanced. With a word that is not equipped to compete with degrees and high skilled qualifications, it would leave a large imbalance of unemployment within working cities, and lead to large amounts of anti-social unrest. While it is true that AI could offer up new jobs in the process of their development, this will do no good in restoring balance to those affected, as the technological development process requires qualifications for the engineering and construction process.
Much to everyone’s fear and dismay from a non-ethical perspective, the distribution of greater AI is projected to increase productivity by 70 percent, as well as reduce human error by 95%. In the wider scheme of things, and the turning of a corporate world, the drive for profit has always been stronger than the force of gravity. AI is only at the beginning of its prime, for now.
