Are you interested in vaping? It can be confusing with all the different devices and flavours. You don’t want to avoid it just because it seems hard to understand. To get started, you should learn about vape juice. The devices only deliver juice, which is the most important part of the process.
Here’s a beginner’s guide to vape juice.
Ingredients in Vape Juice:
Most vape juices have five main ingredients. Propylene glycol helps carry the flavour and gives a strong throat hit, similar to smoking. Vegetable Glycerin, or VG, offers a smoother hit and creates thick vapour clouds. PG and VG are mixed in different ratios in your juice.
Nicotine is well-known for cigarettes. It’s included as a safer way to use tobacco, allowing you to control the nicotine level and gradually reduce it if you like. Flavourings are important when choosing vape juice. Water helps deliver nicotine without changing taste. Some people also vape cannabis, which adds other ingredients to the mix.
Understanding Flavours:
Flavoring is the main attraction of vaping, and there are many choices to choose from. Estimates range from 3,000 to over 20,000 flavours, which is more than enough to last you a lifetime. To start with the flavourings, it’s best to try something you already enjoy and then explore from there.
Popular dessert flavors include cakes, candies, pastries, chocolates and other sweet treats. Beverages include everything from alcoholic drinks to pop, along with coffee and tea. Candy comes in many flavours like chocolate bars, gummy bears and other sweets you’d find in a store.
Menthol offers flavours like peppermint and spearmint along with other minty options. Fruit flavours are delicious, offering many tasty varieties in vape juice. Tobacco includes popular brands and unique blends. Beyond these, there are nut flavours, cream flavours, spice flavours, mint flavours and unusual ones like dill pickles, bacon, garlic and roast chicken.
Using Vape Juice:
The type of rig you have will dictate how you get your vape juice. If you are a newbie, start with disposable pens. They come preloaded with vape juice, and you consume it until it is empty, or the battery runs out. You can buy another one.
Other devices require you to fill pods with vape juice or a tank with a bottle you bought from your local vaping store. This method offers the biggest variety, but it is less convenient if you want to vape without extra steps. If you don’t want to commit to a whole bottle, try the flavour in a disposable vape pen. This way, you haven’t spent much money if it’s not to your liking.
Nicotine Strengths:
Nicotine is important in vaping. It was first made to help cigarette smokers move away from tobacco. Vaping gives you a nicotine hit but without the same risks as traditional smoking. Vaping allows you to reduce nicotine at your own pace. With time, you may need little or none in your vape juice.
Nicotine levels vary based on your smoking habits. For social smokers who light up a few times a week, 3 mg is ideal. This low dose is usually the last step for cutting down, leading to nicotine-free vape juice. Light smokers who smoke fewer than ten cigarettes daily will find 6 mg suitable.
For average smokers who smoke around a pack a day, 12 mg is an excellent choice. It’s helpful for smokers trying to quit. Heavy smokers, who smoke more than a pack daily, need more nicotine to manage their cravings. They should aim for 18-24 mg to match their old habits.
Keeping Your Device Clean:
Vape juice residue will build up in your tank, so it is a good idea to clean it out every time you need to refill, significantly when changing flavours. This solid habit will help your device last longer and keep your flavours coming through at their best.
This is what you need to know about vape juice. Use this as a guide, and don’t be afraid to ask questions about vape juice from your friends and those who work at your local vape shop. You will become a vape juice expert in no time.
