On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), 1,133 shares gained, while 1,381 stocks fell, indicating broader market weakness. In the Nifty 50, 14 stocks were in the positive zone, and 35 stocks were in the red.

Among sectoral indices, Nifty Media, Information Technology (IT), and Private Bank were the only gainers, while the remaining sectors were in negative zones.

In the Sensex pack:
- Top gainers were HCL Technologies, Titan Company, Axis Bank, and Tata Motors.
- Top losers were Eternal, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), Maruti Suzuki, and Tata Steel.
- Interestingly, ICICI Bank was the sole stock that reached a 52-week high in the Sensex.
Nifty Performance
For Nifty:
- Top gainers were HCL Technologies, Axis Bank, Titan Company, and Tata Motors.
- Top losers were Eternal, Tata Consumer Products, Eicher Motors, and M&M.
- ICICI Bank also reached a 52-week high on the Nifty.
Broader Market Snapshot
- BSE Midcap Index fell by 1.08%.
- BSE Smallcap Index fell by 0.057%.
Market weakness is against mixed global cues and profit-booking in a few heavyweight stocks despite some select IT and banking stocks providing support to the indices.
