Drum roll please! The results are in, the winners have been announced and we’re sure that some rather large celebrations have taken place. But what are we talking about? Why, the eGaming Review (EGR) Marketing and Innovation awards of course! The awards commend the organisations and operators working in the online gaming industry, who have achieved some tremendous feats in that year.
This year has seen some big names from the gaming industry receive nominations, with the likes of Paddy Power Bingo, Sky Betting and Gaming and William Hill, who were all in the running for an award. So, let’s get to it, as we reveal the stand-out winners from this years EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards.
Innovation in Marketing Campaign
A new and exciting award category for this year, the ‘Innovation in Marketing Campaign’ looked to recognise the most forward-thinking, ground-breaking campaigns that had emerged in 2021. The nominees were:
- BETANDEAL GROUP
- Bojoko
- Checkd Group
- Kingbetmedia
- Oddschecker
- Oddspedia.
Though each and every one of the nominees deserved recognition in their own right, Oddschecker came out on top, winning the award. The judges made their decision based on the fact that their entry was:
“A genuinely innovative campaign with a fixed start and end date and the entry provides clear metrics about success. The gamification betting through the festival clearly provided greater engagement.”
Personalised Marketing Campaign
To commend those truly customer-centric marketing campaigns, the ‘Personalised Marketing Campaign’ award recognises those in the industry who have demonstrated their ability to distribute a campaign that is completely personal to the audience.
There were some strong contenders nominated, with the likes of Gala Bingo, Foxy Bingo, Mr Green (part of William Hill International), Sky Betting and Gaming, and Novibet. Foxy Bingo walked away victorious in this category, with their personalised video campaign going down a treat with the judges, who described it as:
“A fun, personal campaign backed up with an attractive offer. The messaging was definitely tailored and very positive. Commercially a great way to celebrate the anniversary.”
Bingo Marketing Campaign
The ‘Bingo Marketing Campaign’ saw Paddy Power Bingo, PlayOJO and Foxy Bingo battle it out for the award. PlayOJO was announced as this year’s winner, with their campaign which was aimed at UK Bingo players. The campaign was applauded by the judges for its ability to meet the expectations of its target audience, and press “every single one of their buttons”. They added that it:
“Delivered hard numbers to the bottom line, which is not the norm for a campaign of this nature.”
