Rajinikanth to launch political party

The Tamil superstar on Thursday said he would announce his political party on December 31 and launch it in January.

Saying his party would bring “spiritual secular politics” with no focus on caste or religion, the actor-turned-politician took to social media to expound on his party principles ensuring a ‘honest, transparent, corruption-free’ politics and his confidence in winning the polls.

“A wonder and miracle will definitely happen,” he tweeted with hashtags “It’s now or never” and “We will change, we will change everything”.

It’s a definitive decision that ended years of speculation in the recent past.
The acting legend had earlier announced his entry into politics on New Year’s Eve back in 2017, but had he refused to contest or enter into an political alliance for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
