Aryan Khan, the son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, will not be given bail after he was arrested in connection with a drugs case at a cruise party on Monday, a Mumbai Magistrates court announced this evening, indicating that his bail application was “not maintainable”
The prosecution, anti-drugs agency Narcotics Control Bureau alleges Aryan Khan was supplied drugs by one of the other men arrested in the cruise ship drug bust, as it argued against the 23-year-old being given bail.
During the earlier hearing on October 7, the NCB had sought the custody of the arrested till October 11. However, Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nilekar had sent Khan and others to 14 days of judicial custody, after rejecting the plea by the NCB.
Aryan Khan and other accused are being taken to jail from the NCB office, as per sources. After their medical they’ll be sent to jail. Men will be sent to Arthur Road jail and women to Byculla jail.
“I am of the view that no custodial interrogation is required as sufficient time was given,” the judge said.
”Aryan Khan and other accused will be kept in quarantine cell for 3-5 days in Arthur Jail”, says Nitin Waychal, Superintendent of Arthur Jail
Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan were not present in court, bur they will now be able to meet him as the court allowed family visits at the NCB office.
