This Diwali, embark the journey of stock market by investing in ShagunKeShares
Get the most out of Muhurat Trading by investing in ShagunKeShares
Muhurat trading is a special tradition that involves buying and selling of shares on the last day of the year, Samvat. This age-old custom is believed to persistently bring wealth and success to the traders and investors for the whole year. On the 4th of November, 2021, we are marking the end of Samvat 2077 and a graceful beginning of Samvat 2078.
Despite the holiday, the Indian stock exchanges shall open for an hour on the evening of Diwali for the annual muhurat trading session. The event, which is performed every year on the day of Laxmi Pujan, involves trading or investing in ShagunKeShares. Many new investors begin their stock market journey from this day onwards. Let us delve into some more details.
How did it start?
The concept of Muharat trading originated in the mid-50s at the Bombay Stock Exchange when the investors decided to trade on the day of Diwali to benefit from shubh muhurat. Muhurat is an auspicious time during which the tasks performed are believed to turn out favourable. Since its inception in 1992, the National Stock Exchange too extended the same ritual as the country’s first stock exchange.
Many traders and merchants belonging to the States of Gujarat and Rajasthan maintain their books of accounts (vahi khata) as per the Hindu Samvat Calendar. They believe that profitable business activity on the first day brings fortune throughout the coming year. Since a majority of Dalal Street people belong to the said community, the seeds of muhurat trading were sown and now the ritual is an all-new enthusiasm amongst existing market participants and the new entrants.
When is it happening?
The Diwali of 2021 is falling on the 4th of November and this year, we are welcoming Samvat 2078. The muhurat trading session shall take place on the day when Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped.
The one-hour muhurat trading session will commence on 4th November 2021 at 6:15 PM and end at 7:15 PM. One can place orders to buy or sell shares within this one-hour window similar to normal trading sessions.
Breakdown of session
Like any other trading session, this special one-hour session will have all components with contracted timings for normal trading. The following table enlists timings and different sessions.
Significance of ShagunKeShares
Investing in ShagunKeShares as a token of prosperity or to mark as a symbol of a good omen is a part of the tradition observed amongst the Dalal Street community. For Lakshmi Pujan, a Hindu tradition where the Goddess of wealth is worshipped, many families buy gold or other precious metals. On the other hand, the stock market community trades or invests in equity and other financial instruments.
This day marks the beginning of the new year and it is believed that this occasion brings in wealth and prosperity. It is beneficial for both, existing and fresh participants. The experienced traders make good gains out of trading in shares on this day. On the other hand, it offers a conducive environment for new entrants to begin their stock market journey by investing in small quantities.
Certain considerations
Typically people look forward to buying shares in this auspicious Diwali trading session. Since the demand is a little higher in this one-hour session, prices tend to move higher. Though factually the stock markets have gained in this session, it is crucial to observe that there have been a few times when markets came down as well. There have also been times when the markets moved up on muhurat trading day but the next trading session, it went down.
One must act cautiously keeping in mind that reckless trading is injurious to your wealth. Having said that, a safe and sound approach would be to conduct holistic research beforehand with a long-term profit perspective.
We wish you a prosperous year ahead. May the ShagunKeShares help your wealth grow extensively going ahead. Happy and safe Diwali!
