Vidarbha and Marathwada farmers will receive some respite from the heat because of light rains, but hailstorms and strong winds could ruin their crops. Farmers are recommended to take special care while harvesting or guarding their crops during this time.
Precautions for the Public
Considering the anticipated gusty winds and rains, it is advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat, especially in Mumbai, Pune, and Konkan. Individuals should also make sure that their home drains are clear to prevent water accumulation.
In order to remain safe from strong winds, do not stay close to trees or weak buildings, and avoid electricity poles or wires, as lightning strikes are expected.
