In intervals, Indian Army produces many cadres in various IT and technological related fields, but most are unable to find suitable options in the second inning of their lives after an active army life mostly because of the technological and cultural differences with the Civil street.
“In a recent development, many multi-national firm and corporations have shown concern to hire the Army veterans not only for their exceptional attributes which includes discipline and loyalty, but, also for their technological and cultural quotient”, said, Maj Gen Deepak Sapra MD, AWPO (Army Welfare Placement Org)
Earlier it used to face a disparity with corporate world and used to be a significant challenge in hiring these veterans for modern day IT related jobs. The idea has been conceptualized and will be actioned jointly by Army, NASSCOM and US Bank Wells Fargo.
