The PM lauded the Indian men’s cricket team’s win over Afghanistan, and said that sports is an excellent route to unite society and to showcase the talents and skills of youth.

On Yoga Day
Speaking about the International Yoga Day, PM Modi said that it was a matter of “great pride” for 125 crore people to witness members of the armed forces perform yoga across land, sea and sky.
This 21st of June, the 4th Yoga Day presented the rarest of sights. The whole world appeared as one entity. Yoga breaks all barriers of borders and unites people.

The prime minister spoke about Doctors Day (1 July), and said that the role of doctors is not limited to giving medicines.

PM Reminds Nation About the Jallianwala Bagh Tragedy
Recalling the horrific Jallianwala Bagh incident in 1909, PM Modi said that 2019 marked 100 years of the incident that embarrassed all of humanity.
2019 marks 100 years of the horrific incident of Jallianwala Bagh, an incident that embarrassed entire humanity. The incident underlines the message that violence and cruelty can never solve any problem. The victory is always of peace and non-violence and sacrifice.
