CBSECBSE 10th and 12th results to be announced soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is ready to announce the long-awaited CBSE 10th and 12th Results 2025 in the near future, which will be a milestone for more than 42 lakh students. The results are likely to be out between May 7 and May 12. Students are eager to know their marks and what’s next in higher studies.

CBSE 10th and 12th Result Key Dates 2025

Despite the official result date not yet being announced, sources have indicated that the Class 10 and Class 12 results are expected to be declared between May 7 and May 12, although a rumored earlier release on May 2 cannot be considered as CBSE has refuted such rumors and no particular date has been announced yet.

How to Get CBSE Class 10th and 12th Results 2025?

After the declaration of results, students can view the results online from various platforms. The official portals where the results will be available are:

  • cbse.gov.in
  • results.cbse.nic.in
  • cbseresults.nic.in

Students can also download their marksheets from various alternative services such as:

  • DigiLocker (with Aadhaar-linked mobile or school-provided PIN)
  • UMANG app
  • SMS service (roll number will be sent shortly)
  • IVRS (available in certain areas)

In order to see the results, students will have to enter their roll number, school number, date of birth, and admit card ID.

Understanding the Provisional Nature of Online Results

Please be aware that online results are tentative. Students shall have to fetch their original marksheets and certificates from their individual schools for their use in further studies and other official purposes.

Performance Expectations for Class 10 and 12

As per the assessment reports, the 2025 CBSE examinations were placed at easy to moderate in difficulty levels, hence the pass percentage for Class 10 is set to surpass 93%, and the pass percentage of Class 12 is predicted to remain in the range of 87% to 88%. This trend was also experienced in 2023 and 2024 as:

  • Class 10 registered a pass percentage of 93.60
  • Class 12 attained a pass rate of 87.98%

Girls performed far better than boys, with 91.52% of the girls passing Class 12 in comparison to 85.12% of boys. Trivandrum, Vijayawada, and Chennai were the top three regions last year.

Revaluation and Compartment Exam Details

For those unhappy with their performance, CBSE will also give a revaluation opportunity. The application for revaluation is expected to open during the last week of May or first week of June, with a fee of Rs 100 to Rs 700, depending upon the facility.

Students who have failed in one or two subjects can appear for the compartment exams, which are planned to be held from July 15 to July 22. The results of these exams are likely to be declared in August 2025.

CBSE’s Policy on No Topper List or Percentage Calculation

As a measure to discourage unhealthy competitive learning, CBSE will not publish any topper list or percentage-based rankings for the students. The policy focuses on learning outcomes more than rank-based achievements.

Official Updates from CBS

CBSE has also requested students and parents not to depend on any unverified reports or social media messages for the dates of the results. Any official updates or notifications will be communicated only through the board’s authentic portals.

Conclusion: A Big Milestone for Students

The CBSE 10th and 12th Results 2025 will be an important academic milestone for more than 42 lakh students in India and overseas. With the results due soon, students can now gear up for the next stage of their educational journey.
