Two persons were killed and sixteen injured, when a blast went off
in Johar Town, Lahore, an area about 100 metres away from Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed’s residence, according to various local news reports quoting law enforcement.
Mr. Saeed is currently incarcerated, after being convicted last year on a string of terror financing charges.
Investigations are underway to determine the exact nature of the explosion, which according to city authorities, “appeared to be a bomb blast.”
