The younger son of Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Anant Ambani got engaged to Radhika Merchant on January 19.
The couple exchanged rings in Mumbai in the presence of their family members.
The engagement ceremony started with a Ganesh Puja and then a reading of the traditional Lagan Patrika (wedding invitation).
Prior to their engagement, Anant and Radhika sealed their relationship in a roka ceremony in Rajasthan last month. They visited the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara to seek blessings for their relationship.
Anant completed his studies at Brown University in the US and has since served at Reliance Industries in various capacities. He is focusing on the conglomerate’s new energy business currently.
Radhika, daughter of Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, is a graduate from New York University and serves as a Director on the Board of Encore Healthcare.
