12th November, 2020: Actor Asif Basra was found hanging in a private complex in McLeodganj, Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh earlier today.
Most recently known for his role in the popular web series Paatal Lok, Mr. Basra had appeared in a number of well-known Bollywood films, including Black Friday, Parzania and the Hollywood movie Outsourced.
A forensic team has arrived to determine the cause of death, the police said, adding investigations are on to explore probable death by suicide.
Mr. Basra was 53.
