Canva is a great tool for designing. However, like any other software, it’s not perfect. It has some minor issues that can make it frustrating to use. Fortunately, there are ways to fix them! In this post, we’ll go over five tips that will help you solve common Canva problems and get back to being productive as soon as possible.
Tip 1: Clear your browser cache and cookies
If you can’t access Canva, the first thing to do is clear your browser cache and cookies. This will make sure that any temporary files that might be causing the problem are cleared out of your computer.
To do this:
- On a Windows computer, press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE at the same time. Type “internet options” into the box and press ENTER. Select “Delete browsing history” from the menu on the left side of your screen, then click OK.
- On a Mac OSX device: Open Safari by clicking on its icon in your Dock or Applications folder; go to Preferences > Privacy > Details or Advanced; select ‘remove all website data’ or ‘remove all web history’ depending on which version of Safari you have installed
Tip 2. Check for a temporary outage with Canva
As with any online service, there are times when Canva’s servers may be experiencing technical issues. This can result in errors when trying to access the website or use its services. If Canva, here are some things you can do:
- Check for a temporary outage on the Canva.com status page at IsDownStatus. The IsDownStatus service is a great resource to check for status or outages .
- Check if there have been any recent outages on Canva’s Twitter account. If there has been an outage recently, this will be indicated by tweets from support staff or a reply to customers asking about the outage situation.
- Search Google News for “Canva outage,” which should show whether there were any major server issues during your search time frame (last week, etc.). Also, try searching Twitter using hashtags such as #canvastatus and #canvasdown, so you know how many other people were affected by these problems too!
Tip 3. Disable Your Browser extensions
To disable browser extensions, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings page in your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.)
- Click on the Extensions tab and select an extension you want to disable.
- On the extension page, click on the “Disable” button.
- Restart your browser for changes to take effect
Tip 4: Try another Browser
If you’re having trouble using Canva, try using a different browser. Canva works best with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. If you’re still having issues, try deleting your cookies and browsing history in the browser you’re using (instructions here).
If that doesn’t work, try opening the site in another browser: Edge or Internet Explorer.
If you need to access Canva on your phone or tablet—and there’s no way to do so without an internet connection—you can download the app from Google Play Store or App Store if they exist in your country/region/state or territory.

If you’re having trouble getting your Canva account up and running, you can contact their 24/7 customer support team by emailing support@canva.com. The team is available in English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese to help you get back on track.
